VOICE OF PEACE Why oh why is our streets desolate? Different sounds of stray guns replacing the jubilant noise of children, turning our borders into theaters of war. We walk with the wrong conviction, obviously the blame game only open us to a world of pain, sure you took after the fall and can't see what's in front, what does it take to love? war has a price tag. Why are thou beset with gloom since thou sleekest dome? you'll reap only what you sow, memories, memories of old tombs keep bombing up before your very eyes, death bodies across the road as though wanting to tell us to stop, please they beg, stop. The heat of improvisations crushing on lifeless bodies. Voices of children and women is heard afar off crying for the living while men died abruptly without last words. We yearn to return home oh! home the place of our birth why are thou frown with a disfiguring smile? we left without a notice not knowing where to go losing possession of our soul. I hear the enemies of life saying; let's give these folks guns and watch them destroy themselves since they're all victims of hate and hurts, yes you're anxious I can see everybody getting ready for warfare but don't you know war is not fair? is full of woes who can stand it stings? Revenge is the method you're told to keep the weapon close, tolerant is not the closest option so you resolve to this insanity if negotiation can't keep peace then neither will war you belong you each other and is high time you learn to live together as brothers or die as fools. certainly you're out to impress with colors painting on empty surfaces with the hope of amusing some blind spectators acting on a script but I really wander is it really worth it? We may give a blind look to the blood of those innocent folks but we can't deny the fact the we do not fight the enemy, we fought ourselves, and the enemy was in us. The war is over now but it'll always be there for the rest of our days losing possession of our souls to fading realities, be that as it may those of us who made it through have an obligation to raise and rebuild again the broken walls but only God can mend our (broken) hearts to teach others what we know, although, the scars of yesterday still throbbing in our memories, life is beautiful I guess you also want to live, peace has her victories more renown than war.
