Bleached of Colour
 
My moments of levity cause me such pain, when ever I smile blades strike at my 
brain.
Memories flood synaptic paths, depositing debris and silt from my past

I’m bleached of all colour, I’m black and white
I’m bleached of all colour, I’m dead to this life

Dredging up lost heart aches and pain, this flotsam and jetsam will drive me 
insane
I flounder and scrabble under its weight, as my brain thinks back date by date

I’m bleached of all colour, I’m black and white
I’m bleached of all colour, I’m dead to this life

So I cage my grin and bury my smile becoming mindless and dead for a while
Bleach of all colour, I’m bland I’m unkind, but at least I won’t lose what’s left of 
my mind

Can’t think of the past, can’t think of the now, I'll get through this crap, someway 
somehow
So I bleach my feelings bleach all that’s bad, but I take the joy as much as the 
sad

Void of emotion I’m dead and I wait, in a private hell in the garden state
I wait for the day I wait for the kiss, to bring back the colour I badly miss
Until that day, I remain white and undead, to stop the memories stuck in my head
