Poem
You have a disease That nothing can cure Reality sinks in Your thoughts are a blur You struggle to do The best you can This will be tough But you will push through You start to twitch As if in an itch You start to slur As if in a blur You start to stumble While words come to stutter Feeling this jumble Riles your anger to flutter You slowly lose Control of yourself Your speech and movement Cannot do without help This disease effects Your motions, your mind And your speech You're no longer the same As you used to be But you have someone Who loves you every day For I will stand by you In every bit of way I will be your voice I will be your guide I see what is happening I can read your mind I care for you The best that I can For I am your wife and You are my man I will walk beside you To keep you with pride I will walk in front of you So I can be your guide I will walk behind you To keep you from fall For I love you unconditionally Because love conquers all I know you will leave me I pray that is far away I want to spend as much as we can In our loving special way To my darling husband I write this of you My love is unconditional My love is pure and true Know you are not alone I'm always right here Erase this disease that is in your mind And focus on our love that is strong and clear For I am your Pookie And you are my Pooh Bear Been best friends forever And I'll always be there Huntings is taking you away Slowly but surely I hold your hand tight As we walk this journey I won't let go Until it is time For God brought you to me He knew you to be mine Huntingtons I hate you With every inch of my soul For you are taking someone dear That I will no longer hold You are taking someone dear to me Someone I love so so much I feel I want to see you And give you a final punch Anyone with Huntingtons Knows just what we feel This is no joking matter This is the real damn deal Huntingtons kills your loved ones As you slowly watch them die This disease is no laughing matter This disease is no lie So if you know someone Who has the terrible disease Cherish every moment Because anytime they can leave I write this as my husband Is surfing the internet This thought came to my mind Something I don't regret I write this with pure love As I pour my heart out here Knowing that I love this man As my eyes fill up with tears
