Poem
We were warned not to stay in the Wolf Station Manor. My relatives did everything but put up a banner. Invincible newlyweds, nothing scared us away. We quickly drove to Salem and checked in for a stay. They were delighted to see us, the only car in the lot. Sitting behind a bullet-proof glass, they slid our key through a slot. Our meatloaf supper was wonderful, truly divine. We went upstairs to retire at ten after nine. All was fantastic until we turned off the light. It was a furiously horrible scary-filled night. Shadows moved in and out of the closet, and not in my head. We tried to get up and leave, but we were paralyzed to the bed. Some alien wolf-like creatures arrived and stripped off all our clothes. They poked us and prodded us and put lemonade straws up my nose. My husband’s lemonade stick went into an even worse place. We were worried we would disappear without a bit of a trace. We could not even scream for the meatloaf had disabled us completely. The wolf-like creatures began to have our way with us quite neatly. I could see by my husband’s face he was one hundred percent terrified. At this point I wish he had the kind of eyes that could have lied. They tortured us all night, by tickling us with feathers and pulling hair off our skin. The worst wedding night of my life, and the most despicable haunted inn.
