I was double aged in a gun barrel
Thirty silver pieces 
was gone in sixty trigger seconds

White smoke,
blue flame
Crimson puddles of scarlet pain

Crooked arch shot fear darts
from bent bow lips,
that appeared straight as an arrow

Caged number with a stenciled name — 
Patsy poster bounty
always get captured by the con frame

I was of a book ‘em conscript age, 
when I got tossed in a revolving chamber
Deaf gavel pound turned the page

Ash pale cloud
poured blue coat rain
Scarlet puddles of crimson pain

Lock ‘em up,   again and again ... 
Kill ‘em dead
at the first dispatch call chance

Captured pawns playing their collared part
Bent bracelet eyes
get laser love shot straight through the heart

I was double aged in a smoking hot barrel
Casket born for rainy days,
moving bravely on the straight and narrow 

Target practice doves become chessboard sparrows,
having cell door knight eyes:
Taser death treadmark from a metal horse charging

Coroner number with a morgue name — 
Patsy persuaded toe tags
always get buried in a coffin lit frame

White lightning, 
asphalt screeching noise ...
blue wails fearfully flail 
in thunderclap siren reign
Sending downpour 
scarlet puddles of crimson pain
