Poem
we saw nothing but elbows and heard the fist pounding the skin. their long black and brown leather coats hide what they were doing the cries of the men on the ground could be heard all the way at my room when I got their the horses acted as they were glad to see me I couldn't stop til I saw what was actually going on I asked the older gentlemen standing back watching he simply said " a man's pride, boy! men still want to be best at what they do you know!" huh, huh, he laughed as I went to pull the men apart, I heard a voice, and that's all I remember, somebody hit me from behind and then all I saw were black boots and those long black and brown cattlecoats, that's when I noticed these men wore masks, their faces fully covered one had what appeared to be a large "x" with silverstars and green, black, and yellow background behind it, I knew the mark, " Gallo's Pride" Men from the badlands. Their sister was said to be Madam Guesser, a worldy woman! Their names were Bachlid and Braccs McCormick Days later I found out that Bachlid and Braccs seeked revenge against these gentlemen calling their sister a whore. she orchestrated the whole thing. I wish I never got involved. now every one think's I've been "boning y, the ho" Aint got time for that, my wife don't play like that. my horses and my cattle keeps me busy. Somebody has got to put a stop to this, I heard they took straps to Vos Dos Galtrim down on the field edge. and if what Paschinni said is right, they wore chaps , their cattlecoats and masks to church, and didn't take off their hats during service. Mosof told me that down in the general store, while Brimmer was waxing the new tiles they installed, these leathernecks came in and wiped there horses manure all over Mosof's freshly waxed floor. they started wearing these leather straps with gold on them, and going around challenging people. Basstein and Trebler Clausecleft, started getting people to sign their names and put up money to challenge them. when I heal, and find someone to tend to my horses, I promise you these Cattlecoat Desporatos will regret ever stepping foot in this Town! It's said that these guy's were redboned mallto's from Sweden, Green and blued. the sun tanned them to a golden brown, and their mask hide there face. there horses danced at the sound of a fiddle, and their sister was a world famous worldly woman.
