(Boo Hoo Politics was Written following the Brexit and Trump votes as an observation and not a political declaration. A few years out of date now but perhaps still fresh Enough to share) Boo Hoo Politics What ever happened to fait acomplie? Election refuted, result cannot be Decision disputed, outcome denied Because tis declared, victors had lied Brexit decided, voters derided, As one, campaigners, telling of lies did Money for doctors and hospital beds Writ large on transporter, O negative red British men working for more than before Price under-cutters deserting our shore Membership ended yet still we shall feed With commonwealth partners fulfilling our need 'Utopian vision,' remainers refuted Brexiteers cheated, all claims disputed See here we are told, beware tragedy The pound but a penny, the peace, world war three Cameron standing to steer a path true Grizzled a little, and then 'Toodle ooh' And yet sun ascending and darkness relit No earthquake, tsunami or asteroid hit Whilst over the pond that we call the Atlantic Demeanour ecstatic, otherwise frantic Some celebrating, some have the the hump Relationships fractured in Clinton v Trump The Ruskies they fixed it, the FBI mixed it, Donald denied it and audibly dissed it The Trump they proclaim will bring nuclear war As Putin lets slip about this and that whore So many proclaim as Trump gets the affirmative Normal ain't working, let's try an alternative Stating it's timely to try out the new To fetch bestest buddies from back of the queue He'll build a big wall and some cars and some trucks Americans happily earning more bucks While Mexicans spend all their money on walls It must be that Trump has dementia... or balls Security services grudgingly labour To save their new Boss man from rifle or saber Rumours abound that he'll run out of luck Kalashnikov waving, Hey Donald, DUCK!!! Elections conducted and folk had their say Ticking a box, the conventional way Yet, protest, suspicion and discontent linger Foul, cried before he had lifted a finger Dissenters refuting the public's decision Decry all pronouncements and screech their derision The system now faulty with injustice done Was never berated when their man won Not getting one's way is not system broken If people have voted then people have spoken So this is the question occurring to me Whatever happened to fait acomplie?
