Poem
I don't care if we're in the dark or in the sun light Pick a time, pick a place Pick your weapon and get ready to add it to your list of mistakes Because I'll be the last man standing when I bring my pen to the gun fight Bad news for you, my pen is fully loaded and it won't run out soon My beautiful words are about to turn ugly and become your doom I'm walking in the rain to see how much of my dirt the storm cleans I usually make love to my pad but this one is more like a porn scene I was tired of being bullied, tortured and tormented So I picked up a pen and let all my hurt and frustrations out I'll never claim to be the greatest poet but at least this author is authentic Able to express my emotions while also taking the time to Slaughter my tormentors I thought I beat depression, but it put on a disguise and continued living near me The horrific scenes I've seen are why the nightmares they had on Elm Street didn't scare me The battles I've faced would scare Freddy Krueger I've overcame my shakey past, I'm just trying to build a steady future Been through the worst situations and I had to show the best of me I made it out alive, so now I'll write until all the ink is gone and there's nothing left of me You may want to go back to school and retake a math class if you counted me out I beat the odds and can overcome any amount of doubt I've learned how to fly so now they hope my wings get cut It makes me sick to my stomach so allow me to bring it up I'm sick of sensitive people who tell me I can't say this or I shouldn't do that I've got the courage to speak my mind, don't tell me what to do just because you wouldn't do that You're the type to judge your day based on the weather forecast You won't go out until you see the storm past I'll go out in the storm of thunder, lightning, and dark clouds When I bring a pen to a gun fight the whole world can end up on my war path They left me in the maze thinking I had no chance of making it out Well I fought depression and ended up erasing the doubt You won't see me beat until I'm 6 feet under and placed in the ground I'm bringing my pen to the gun fight and I'm taking the crown
