In the dark of night 
I’m in my tower of light
It’s time to face my demons
And face the fight
My hands are clenched 
These fists of rage
The beasts uncaged
My rage bleeds out 
upon a journals page....

My heartbeat hammers, 
Sound the drums of war
The waves are crashing 
And the lions roar
Battle ready and Steady 
Prepared for more
I’ve said goodbye to this Life 
(As I fall on my sword)

Lightning streaks across my mind
I’m out of time
pushed too far across the line
I’ve become one with pain
It’s a part of my mind
The best of me is gone
And this is what’s left behind
 
My tempers rising, 
the tempest swells
Sound alarms and ring the bells
The devils unleashed 
The angels trapped in hell
Destruction is coming
Can’t you tell

Thunder crashes 
I fear not death
I draw it closer with every breath
I’ve lost my life 
There’s only this emptiness left
Adrenaline in my bloodstream 
Insomniac from stress
Lord where are you
I’m failing this test...
Crushed beyond measure 
A 6 ton bench press

Muscles tensed my spirits ready
Fire inside me is burning steady
Chaos in my left hand
Destruction my right
I’ve lost myself 
I’ve lost the fight
I’ve walked in shadow
I’ve walked in light 
Both of these 
Balanced on the edge of a knife
The betrayal that burns
Has in turn scarred my life
My mind keeps replaying 
that fateful 
Hate-filled night

Everything is wrong
What happened to life
The devil is laughing
I can feel his grip get tight
My senses are numb
I’m almost done with this fight
Lord please take me 
Put an end to this life...

But here I am alone tonight
And here i sit
in my tower of light
I’ve lost that battle
But Gods saved my life 
I’ve left the shadows
Now I walk in light
