Poem
I could have fell flat on my face
when I slumped into that hellish place
but hell no, it's not my way
to give up like it's my death day.

At first it was hard to breathe understand or believe
why'd they leave me out & ditch me the bastards
I was an outcast and not part of the script
cast aside and I flipped but I'm made of iron & pride
though admittedly at first stunned with mouth open wide

It made me never more angry and upset, yeah I cried,
especially as I tried to see inside their mind, binded
by DNA so not blind to how I'm portrayed as their thoughts I pried.

But hey, I realised without doubt I was unwanted 
& with that sighted ambitious flames ignited 
so I decided to go it alone in my stride & not let fear strike
as to never again be frightened on this new mission 
I'm fighting on despite your plight of spite. 

It's not impolite to say our bond is set aside set a light
wrecked by the disrespect & rejection causing its demise
I chose to be wise & seek out a talent 
a subject never attempted & try what I hadn't
so I would not be bad tempered & if I was decent I'd pursue 
perfection & never again blubber a tear or two by you. 

I set out to start new & just see what I could do
what I found no one ever knew 
a poetic discovery used as a therapy for recovery 
after it felt like the pain of a worst fear you branded on me
after you left me abandoned & stranded unforgivably 
disbanded by my own band of brother & sister, repeatedly, 
but I curse here in this instant to let it indent that the distance before made forgetting you easy with no resistance. 

There's been a disappearance of our bond 
broken through miss use, repair is beyond 
we need a magic wand,
you turned me into a mister that you never knew 
no wait I miss spoke 
I'm a bloke that's more true than you 
& never again will you hurt me like you used to. 

I longed for that invite but you wronged me, 
are you up tight, are you clever & I'm not bright? 
Don't answer, I don't give a s***e 
because I'm strong from your wrong 
& flew from a pit upto where I belong 
but I'm not here by right, 
I'm here 'cus I fight with flames that you ignited 
so you can do your little just us holidays leave me out 
you gave me poetic justice honestly making this skill come about 
so thanks for not including me I mean that truthfully 
I'm thankful you were rude to me, I'm glad it's how it had to be 
now you have holidays in your memory, the best gift went to me, 
I was blessed with a drive and unseen poetic ability.
