Poem
Upon the cresting, violent seas, the little ship did sail The captain and his merry men, were never set to fail For they were sea men through and through, ready for a fight The pirates of the Lady Fair caught up with them that night The little ship, the Jolly Jib, had one day out of port They carried with them rum and cane, provided on report The manifest had disappeared 2 days before the sail That would not stop the Jib; they were not set to fail The Lady Fair was led by blood thirsty pirate thieves Had set their sails for the Jib, to kill and steal with ease Had they known, on that day, that the Jib was well prepared They would have turned their sails to flee, for men to then be spared As moonlight hit the surface of the big blue open sea The Lady Fair came on the Jib, the rest was history As the Jib fell victim, to the attacks, they all began to fight For not a man of the Lady Fair was left standing on that night The Jib, a crew of happy men, with wives and families Knew it best, to see their loves, they’d have to fight, not flee Hands upon their swords, the swords then raised in air Were used to fight the many men, the death to Lady Fair They fought with honor, fought with pride, for their families The Jolly Jib had then set sail into pages of history
