have you ever felt like you've been set up?
have you ever felt like you've taken the fall?
you're angry, in denial, frustrated and fed up
while you're so-called friends are out having a ball

but when God sets you up it's a form of preparation
He's positioning you to receive a blessed commendation
that eviction notice, that pink slip, that broken romance 
may be blessings in disguise
for God has to eliminate and move things about 
in order to give you a greater prize

you've felt violated, abused, neglected and in pain
you're in the midst of a personal storm and under tremendous strain
but if you only come to understand one thing in this life
is that everything is in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ
you need to let go and give God complete control
let Him set you up so you may achieve even greater goals

an upset occurs when the obvious favorite is surprisingly defeated
the underdog will claim the victory when the game is completed
we are all underdogs in life for we've all fallen short of God's grace
but God will give you an upset in order to take you to a higher place

you've been set up for an upset and the enemy is on the attack
don't worry about the opposition for Jesus has your back
to be like Samuel, King David and Joseph with that technicolor coat
set up by God to overcome adversity and to ride on the Holy Spirit's float 
to be like Peninnah, Elizabeth and Mary followers of God's master plan
set up by God to be the vessels that placed great sons into His hands
to be set up by God you need an uncompromising faith
let Him give you an overflowing and abundant plate

God will set you up in order for you to achieve an upset
He will situate you in a position so you don't have to hedge your bets
so stop trying to orchestrate it all and attempt to do it on your own
let the power of prayer prove the glory that is His righteous throne
so just hold on, fight through it and then commence to pray
through the up and downs, trials and tribulations 
that will come each and every day
and restore the joy by praying to God and the Holy Spirit will then step up
let the Lord God reposition you and by Him get set up

it might not make much sense to you those things that God has planned
it might cause you some anguish and anxiety 
just keep the faith and hold on to His merciful hand
God will place you in a position to be set up for an upset
an unanticipated victory and a blessing you will then get
