Poem
I circled around the park three times and continue journeying towards the west On my first cycle I met a couple sitting on the corner watching me like big brother The young man shouted at me in a friendly tone he wanted to know where I was bound He tried to get my attention but I ignored him and hurried along I exit the park and rode up the big street and I felt a sudden passion running under my feet It feels as if I was sitting on a loveseat calculating a spreadsheet I journeyed up a familiar path to diffuse my heavenly wrath And noticed that the barricades were taken down revealing the truth about the little town I came up this path at the end of spring but I could not recognized the key rings Everything was sealed around and everyone looked at me with a familiar frown Apartment building or shopping center I don’t know what it is but this is where I have been A white Trumpchi car parked mysteriously in front of a massive construction site And busy workers in hard hats standing under tents with yellow lined around red tents tops cementing tiles on the pavements all around them while their bosses and managers supervised them As I approached the spot the music start playing aloud This is where the money is Tied up in the building bloc This is where the money is Buried up in dry weather flats This is where the money is Feeding the lazy fat cats This is where the money is Wrapped up in useless conference centers and feeding the witch doctors Skyscrapers shooting up in the air telling me that they have something to share It doesn’t change anything when the people’s heart is full of sin This is where the money is In concrete and stones cement and dirt and mortar underneath my skirt I sat on the street side in the dead heat with my bicycle in front of me Cars rolling up and down the street behind me observing the conceit This is where the money is Sucking up every living thing The cornfields are gone but the banana trees are still standing firm And the peasants are driven out of the town This is where the money is Big shopping mall creating a global sprawl Money is swimming in the big dirty river and everything is running over The money have been following me for years Everywhere I go there is always a new construction going on in town From the middle east to the north east, the north west to the south west east, west north and south nature is foaming from its mouth Rats, lizards and insects occupy the buildings churning millions in the till This is where the money is Brown stones and foreigners investment in bereaved towns And shops and stores struggling to survive offshore Crooked highway and bridges constructed in dangerous land fills This is where the money is Bad steels, faulty product sucking money out of my gut Five point five billion sellers and two billion buyers New construction has no depth their root soaked through the earth Touching the virgins birth This is where the money is Tied up in the beggar’s man coat Bags of it is stacked under my bed And I packed it up in pillows and stick it beneath my head This is where the money is Spread the wealth around and clean up the greed out of the town Wash out the old apartment buildings The schools and dirty basements Bulldozed the old shacks and review the estate tax Put more money in the schools to help those that are fooled Educate the people and help those that are not able Bad manners is not an excuse for traditional culture Clean up your old dilapidated buildings All of you have committed a terrible sin And I am full to the brim Now I know where my money is This is where the money is.
