Poem
I'm having a few glasses of Courvoisier, dare me to write? I've had depression tell me I'm worthless while it stares in my eyes But I'm inspired by Mike Tyson, so I'm not scared of the fight Stood up to my demons and my nightmares got a fright I respect those who are truthful, and have no respect for those who share all their lies Started to be happier now I don't care if I'm right Regardless if I'm right or wrong life goes on My mistakes and shortcomings don't define me I learn from them and then put them behind me I've been known to follow my heart blindly While my mind makes a sarcastic comment like "Don't mind me" I let people paint pictures of me how they wish because it really doesn't design me Started to notice if you give people a taste of their own medicine, they don't take to it too kindly I'm currently trying to forget my ex, I don't want to keep what I'm thinking I'm at peace when I'm drinking Learned to swim because people rarely offer you a hand at arms reach while you're sinking Every king needs to be protected by a queen, you'd know that if you'd ever played a game of chess You're really not that good if it's only you yourself who claims you're best But when I give my food for thought I leave them bloated Force them to taste their own medicine and I increased the dosage I'm learning to let go if I don't need to hold it But your own thoughts is a hell of a lot to leave you alone with You can tell by Internet comments that people don't read what's posted I know I'm not the greatest poet because I can't think of a word to rhyme with Courvoisier Wait, I want to come home to Demi Lovato waiting for me in her Lingerie Lingerie and Courvoisier rhyme just about enough to make it work Sober me will probably want to re-create this verse That's it I'm done, I only have one thing to say next You're wondering why I wrote this, because writing this was a better idea than drunk texting my ex
