Verse 3: I know you tried to Deliberately hurt me I just knew you knew That you gave me inescapable, incredible insanity Shattered and torn apart Trapped, I cannot simply depart Pre-chorus: I would be delighted If you would free my sadness And chase it down all away…today… Muse outside the drum Get me out of this broken, boredom kingdom I would be relieved To see you smile with happiness And chase away the pain of dismay And make it gladly numb What have I become? Useless and dumb? Chorus: Today, could you mend me? Today, would you lessen my anger? Today, should you listen clearly? Today, it looks like you’ve become a banger On the drums of becoming numb On the keyboard of being bored On the guitar strings of delirium Holding up the trombone of overcoming… Tribulations unlike some…unlike some… (sound the trumpets…blow away the regrets) Oh oh ah ah hmmmm… Oooh no, no, no, uhh duh dum Verse 4: Hoped to be truly free From this rope remedy Cut me all the way down Lift me up somehow Sear away this torture town And its agonizing sorrow Waved farewell to you forever… Leave…zero in on my middle finger… Pre-chorus (changed): Shatter it to shards and do throw it all out Instead of shouting and complaining about I would be so damn delighted If you would free my sadness And chase down the inner dread That’s like gravity, weighing us down more or less Hope you see that you’re not the only one In this world of woe and chaotic everyone Chorus: Today, could you mend me? Today, would you lessen my anger? Today, should you listen clearly? Today, it looks like you’ve become a banger On the drums of becoming numb On the keyboard of being bored On the guitar strings of delirium Holding up the flute of overcoming… Tribulations unlike some…unlike some… (play the therapeutic music of the flute – let’s!) Oh oh ah ah hmmmm… Oooh no, no, no, uhh duh dum Rap-bridge: Need a lift from being below 24/7 In your arms is a hell and a heaven Here’s a string-wrapped gift To higher your lowest low A gigantic push and an uplift There's thick kindness to show Kill them with kindness, But lean on not feeling less Than humans should, daily, feel Deep down, you are a big deal It’s hard to make progress In this misery-kinda mess But, you sorta get it by now Don’t know how somehow High my lows Lower not my highs Shiny sun glows Let dry the goodbyes And drown out your lies Your lies of letting me go When, in fact, you didn’t though
