The stone laid plans 
erected in the Age of Man
are starting to cave in
Their sky towers scraping the blue stratosphere
has begun to crumple
under the oppressive weight of floating spore fear

It’s fungi clear as a glowing crystal ball ... 
soon comes the last sonic shockwave blast New Year,
in a Geiger counter Catch-22 free fall:
Do nothing, 
and nothing will be solved
Continue down the same problematic path,
even a child can do the simple math:
One plus one is always two

Three steps to one 
dominant specie’s steward neglect flu
leads to planetary extinction
Solar SOS flares shooting out from the dying sun — 
three warning shots 
fired from a cold, entropy gun

The ancient bronze pride of Man
has the platinum future in jeopardy melting
Gold standards of morality have fallen,
only silver dross left
in the political prospectors’ pans
Leaders of reprobate parties
reject peace at every cracked pipe dream
negotiation gathering
War is the opportunistic snare sound
of the dropped missiles drum roll
Two plus two is always four

Three steps to one
dissolving iron-nickel core
Floating embers of burning doubt
spreads across the darkened global landscape
Paid auto-Pilates
will deliver many dropped souls unto death,
on the shifting, windblown whims
of a nuclear wildfire ... 
Those washed hands, which palm pressed the fatal buttons, 
won’t underground calm panic room escape
Three plus three is always six

Three hexagonal stumbling steps multiplied, 
you can beastie watermark it
Open the cavernous abyss — 
three steps to the madness precipice
Three days of the condor circling above,
three ticks to the boom thermonuclear
Four plus four is always eight

Three steps to one
wobbly, spinning ball of fiery hate
Neanderthal brow thoughts
peering up at the moonlit night sky
Radioactive laser beam satellite souls
bought the cosmic Reaper Theater ticket
Harvested organs lost power control;
lip addicted to spit rage, they can’t kick it
Five plus five is always ten

Three step to one
why on a charred truth end
Unclean hearts with spade dirty fingers
are ready to trigger squeeze the safety tease
But the expiration due date 
came earlier than was calculated 
And the talking monkeys 
were waving their war club threat 
with primordial slug ease
Unwise diamond dogs, with steel teeth,
are on a graveyard, frenzy bone feed

Three steps to one ... time fell short,
the owl misstep was not to howl abort
