The most sunny days for me still have showers of rain
I thought the smoke had cleared, but I was wrong because I got burnt by the flame
No one cares unless you're pretty or dead, and that was the hardest lesson 
All I've ever had is Eminem, Kid Cudi and Linkin Park to help me through depression

I share too much because It never worked when I kept it covered
I cry random tears and sometimes I'm not sure why
People say Men shouldn't show emotions, so I guess I'm not a guy
Why is it that the most kind and best people suffer?

Every day I'm trying to be positive and I'm constantly fighting with my mind
I've been knocked down, because Depression throws punches like Mike Tyson in his prime
Without a hand to help me back up, so I have to crawl first
I need help, why is it so hard to say those 3 small words? 

I'm looking at this bottle of brandy knowing I shouldn't Drink it
But it helps me to cope and I don't want to think this
I got so used to pain, I started trying to get my nightmares to make up for where my dreams lack 
6 months since she died, but I'd do anything to bring Pauline back 

Now I can't Listen to Linkin Park without crying about Chester
But their lyrics help me with Battling my own thoughts and trying to get better
Sometimes I Feel guilty and cowardly that I survived my attempts at suicide
I'm trying to learn how to smile and be thankful for being alive

I'm taking each day as it comes, and moving slow
My nightmares are on replay like it's someone's favourite show
I've crashed too many times, so I'm full of dents now
I cared when one more light went out
