Poem
The sound of her drum seems to be hidden The rhythm of her song is unheard The melody of her voice is shattered And the presence of her ability seems to be invisible Yet the feeling denies to be silenced Just because it’s about time Time for her to rise and shine It’s about time to stand the rain The time to cross that bridge Her flesh has torn by mere doubts But her fear fails to kill the passion inside her The passion of a woman. From a distance she sees harmony. She smells the essence of boldness. Yet the color of her skin tries to stop her. Tradition and beliefs squeezed down her choice But it fails to shut down her voice She is a woman that lives to impress. From her chest she coughs out her interests In all her journey she walks tall. All she creates is a wakeup call She intends to prove nothing but the best. In her heart she cares for nothing but the rest. In every talk she mentions all that worth. And on her walk she shows all the forth. Braveness is her talent career. Beauty is what she currently smiles on. At her home she shows good example And at her garden she grows healthy crops. Challenges and threats are fake things to her. Struggles and pains also fade so quickly. And all leaves her standstill like a pillar. So strong and vicious like a killer. Storms and rains do not scare her. Because she keeps calm and stare back. In every situation she’s an army. In every business she’s an artist. No matter how closed the doors could be For her, there is always a way to exit. There is a path to make an escape. Bare footed she cross the thorny places Without helmet she enters the danger zones Aiming at nothing but to rescue what’s hers Flaming bright the candle of peace as usual. With tears shining in her eyes she still forgives With pears in her basket she has a will to give. She is the lioness of African jungle. A colorful flag of African pride. Woman! A mother, a sister and a daughter! She is a tallest tower of the planet. The gift that no man can survive without. The pillar that no house can stand without. In every disappointment she’s up to reconcile She stands against every scandals Just to bring back the good reputation. A sieve that fines all the situations A star that shines even in rainy times. She is a flower that survives the summer sun. She can crack and fall apart Only to track the pieces and get back again. She is always coaches for peace. With her palms she touches to ease. Her selfless comfort soothes the broken. Her divine love is everlasting one In the long walk of her life; She remains the captain of her family. A referee to its mistakes and a coach of her own success Amongst anything she conquers everything.
