Poem
In the raging sun of summer time The blowing wind of the winter In the harvest time of sweet autumn The divine feeling of the spring touch We are still African, the heart of Africa We are the soft snow that falls in the silent nights The raindrops to nourish our beautiful Africa We are the lakes that pour the sweet juice The rivers that support the young streams to carry on Then why not be silence Africa? Why not be quiet and be the ocean of love? So that each of us could swim peacefully. Be quiet Africa, Thola Africa! Be polite and carry one another in faith Let the spirit of ubuntu rule us and make us one Let the doves of peace fly in and find rest in us. Let the wild cheetahs consider our smile and settle with our presence Let the angels of heaven bless our comfort towards one another. For our love is as strong as a rooted mountain rocks. Be silent Africa! Thola Africa! Oh yes we have the right to shed tears. The possibility to feel the pain We have the chance to go through hard times And time to quarrel or disagree. But always a way to be silence Why tears of hatred instead of joy? Why pain of fear instead of pity? Why hardship of failure instead of trying? Why quarrel of war instead of unity? Oh beautiful Africa why not be silence? Togetherness why not fighting crime? Improving the economy that is awaiting our precious minds. As one poverty is a fairy, something to be beaten overnight In one soul the empire of education can be build in seconds And sanity can be something to pride ourselves of. Thola Africa! Get silence Mzansi! I am black because i am African! I am an African because of Africans! We are the same flesh that formed our nation. Our colour is our silence pride As enormous as we are, still we are one. western or central we are still Africans. Africans that belongs to one home. Why showing off the tribulation to the world? Instead of tributes to our laid heroes? The once who are dead in fight of our own freedom! Why aren’t we become one tribe in spite of our race? Why aren’t we unite and choose a tribunal to represent our understanding? Africa! Why crying loud useless tears? Why not tears of holding each other? Thola Africa! Be quiet peaceful land! Let the sky be fertile and rain down the drops of peace Let the milky way adore your sense of humor. For we all know that you are strong enough to conquer. You are smart enough to discrete what you are capable of. And wiser to adjourn or even dismiss all the
