Everytime you needed a shoulder to cry on, I was there
But when I needed the same in return you didn't care
Things were better for you, So you felt like you'd already succeeded 
Thank you for making me look stupid, because it was the blessing I never knew I needed

It hurts bad, and I'll let it show so I heal faster
I wish I didn't give so much to you, but I can't take it back
You didn't notice I was wiping my own tears, while providing you laughter 
I gave everything to you, but you didnt care to see beneath my mask

I always put you first, for you I was third or fourth in line
I was stupid to believe I was important to you
I'll get over this hurt in time
And find real happiness when I start over anew 

I was Attempting to fly with broke wings
I Was there for you everytime you needed me
I Asked for support once and you ignored the whole thing
I had no idea this is who you'd turn out to be

I offered you everything, but I wasn't cool enough 
in that department I just didn't measure
when it goes wrong and the next man breaks your heart
Don't come crying to me about how you deserved to be treated better

You could have had it, but I just wasn't enough 
You just wanted to use my kind heart to get over your hard times 
My heart hurts real bad, because I thought you were a genuine person 
I just wish I didn't give so much love and care to someone who wasn't mine

But I learned a lot from it, this was a mistake I had to make
My heart will mend and I will overcome the heartbreak
You were on a different page but I still tried to read it
I'm thankful you made me look stupid, because it became the blessing I never knew I needed
