Don’t ask me how I’m doing;
It feels like I’m dying here; so leave me alone.
I don’t need opinions;
About why I shouldn’t
  There’s nobody that close to me;
  That’s going to benefit or suffer by anything I do.
  Matter of fact I might not do anything.
  So just leave me alone.
My daddy told me on his death bed;
Don’t get old Lenny.
I laughed and said it was too late;
But I was wrong I see.
  How am I doing?
  Is that a question or an opening statement?
  And your case in point is?
  Can you show me a way out of here; otherwise I don’t have time.
No look, I don’t hate; I got no problem with you.
I’ve just about had enough of life alright.
I did just about everything I knew how;
To end up being someone I don’t know.
  Are you going to give me all those reasons?
  I tend to forget them at night when I’m alone.
  I’m not feeling sorry for myself and the hell with you.
  I’m just tired of not making my own choices alright.
How am I doing; I’m too old beyond even exception;
I might have forgotten how to be the man I am;
And I can’t seem to let lose of my passions.
That’s how I am.
    What ever I don’t have now;
      I’m not likely to get;
      And I seemingly don’t have what is needed not to be alone.
      So why bother with this bitterness huh?
  So I’ve got a few things to think about
  I don’t really need help thank you.
  A blessing on to the race and all that but;
  Don’t ask me how I am; because I don’t have the answer
