© Elegy 

From war-torn land, to farm the land. 
From grace to grace, they till the field. 
Sarah and Ben;  a victory they win; 
A family...a life...together they build.  

The warriors reward, thirteen olive plants; 
Last two planted by him. 
Willie and Dora, the names given these flora; 
Before his light goes dim.  

Buried in honor, the warrior crosses over, 
To that great reward in the sky. 
Those left behind, to mourn and pine; 
Awake, your day cometh bye and bye.
 
Sarah alone; but not all alone, progeny for company. 
Love and caring, she's tenderly sharing, what was and hope t'will be. 
Sarah the dove, a lovely dove; time to leave day-strings of seven. 
Fly away Sarah, fly away Sarah, to reside in your Blue Heaven.

You are remembered.  All are remembered; 
No fleeting thoughts of thee. 
Memories cherished; posterity will cherish; 
Thank God for Sister B.
