Say goodbye to the old days Wave goodbye to the old ways Sinking towards the bottom of the ocean Ditching the tides of tribulation and commotion Sinking way down below The dolphins stride ride Drifting into the deep tide Of darkness since eons ago Drowning rapidly I can’t elevate This force within me, An inescapable fate I sunk so low to your bitter level, devious devil No wonder you hide so well where you dwell Why did you drag me here without warning? Are you too afraid of the aftershocks of Global Warming!? I wish I could bestow upon you relief From this ever-churning, bottomless grief My sympathy can only do so much, you see? Get me high above this sea and uplift you and me At least, there’s nothing to fear down here Maybe stranger creatures than I that draw near For the most part, they’re harmless and mind their business I want to swim the horizon's brazen shore, a little dolphin jealous I want to drift off with the daily, cheery current If only I wasn’t caught up in this torrent of torment Turmoil got me by the ankles heartlessly You mock me and scorn at me relentlessly This outlandish aquatic rage is on another oceanic page I don’t appreciate being stuck in this fishy, shady cage Might as well take off my swim gear and my oxygen tank I’m in the brink of utter damage and turmoil top rank! Say goodbye to my lonesome past struggles Wave goodbye as we submerge in bubbles Thinking of the troubles I endured, knew I would Stinkin' negativity sure knows how to drown the mood I’ll fish out my miseries ashore While you focus on your positivity at ease…at ease… I need a lift from this abyss I abhor Needing a latter to get my wrecked self off my knees Most dreams like mine Are tossed from sea to sea Suppose I’ll sit here and dine In this watery cave, can’t flee Unless…a miracle could release me Then again, maybe it’s just meant to be Secluded from society where bittersweet emotions surface Can’t seem to find a way to escape this despairing solace Suddenly, miracle bubbles gather at every angle They swarm beneath my sand-caved feet in harmony…my high spirits in ecstasy I float happy-go-luckily, like a light-abiding angel I rise victoriously to the sparkling surface, shaking off the drops of vain gravity Unfortunately, it was only a vision, Ruining my hope of liberty ambition Being away from captivity is my mission… So, I daydream and drift away without a clue As I wave goodbye to the past of useless rue As they vanish into waves – oh so timely! – vigorously….
