Poem

I sing, for the King.
He gave me my gifts, my soul he uplifts.
Amazing love, from above. 
You're the one I adore, without You I am so poor.
Now I'm awake, these chains I let You break.
I sing a million songs, to You alone they belong.
Each one to praise You, glorify You, for You brought me out of death's bayou.
Everyday You bless me, in new clothes You dress me.
I was so dry, the dust blinded my eyes.
But You always fill me up, You overflow my cup.
Your music floods my heart, I know I'm somehow set apart.
My fingers may blister, my throat may lose it's voice, but, even so, in my 
hardships I rejoice.
Satan tried to trick me, with his sorrow pricked me.
I fell into a funk, but now I don't listen to that punk.
Release Your love, there are some who need it I know of.
Let them know that You care, that You are listening to their prayers.
A million prayers and counting, there are no boundaries.
Everyone belongs to You, show us Your will to do.
We're all in Your hands, to You no one's bland.
People think You've forgotten, they are hitting rock-bottom.
There's no way out but up, we come to You with our hands up.
A million people, in the end, we turn to Your steeples.
A million.
