Heard the angels of light calling… I feel my freed soul is free-falling How do we know heaven or hell is where we go? Maybe God has a plan bigger and better than we know Oh Lord, my benevolent Father I’m lost in the dark…in the dark… Oh my, my torn heart beats faster Need to sing like a lark…like a lark… Build me up like Noah's gigantic ark Set us all free from this Earth so dark It is oh so dark in here Shed some light of cheer We are sad and in fear Waiting for You to hold us dear Set me free and hear this prayer, Original from my heart, struck by terror I still believe in You I still hope in You too It’s hard to have faith in times of trouble When my body is lying on the dirty rubble Lift me up and defeat the gravity of war Lift me up and mend my spirit some more Oh Lord, my benevolent Father I’m lost in the dark…in the dark… Oh my, my torn heart beats faster Need to sing like a lark…like a lark… Build me up like Noah's gigantic ark Set us all free from this Earth so dark It is oh so dark in here Shed some light of cheer We are sad and in fear Waiting for You to hold us dear You heard my silent screams in the dead of night I’ve always dreamt of a better life in another light Keep me in solace's gaze and open up my eyes Deep inside, these tears drown away the lies Don’t stand in my way, Hallow shadows of the day Understand my purpose in life It’s to please You and not strife Oh Lord, my benevolent Father I’m lost in the dark…in the dark… Oh my, my torn heart beats faster Need to sing like a lark…like a lark… Build me up like Noah's gigantic ark Set us all free from this Earth so dark It is oh so dark in here Shed some light of cheer We are sad and in fear Waiting for You to hold us dear I’ve been lost in the dark for too long In the light is where I want to truly belong Too much corruption and negativity Confused a lot of the times frankly I’ve been lost in the dark for years on end These words, I carefully pick out not to offend Hope I can find that light of inspiration again In the darkness, we don’t know where we’ve been… But, I do know you’ll give me a second chance And everyone else, too, in advance…in advance… Oh gracious God, I’m in a cruel daze I’m lost in the dark…in the dark… I’m lost in the dark…no where near a spark… Of light that keeps us warm From the start with no harm I know for certain you’ll hear our plea Of happiness and hope to set us free It is oh so dark in here Get us out of here, I fear Should of gave You glory and praise.. Please…please… Take us out of the scary dark… At ease…at ease… Freedom is our beloved park.
