Poem
As kids our eyes seen some thing, with smiles as bright as the Arizona sun and eyes blind to what was to come we found love, holding hands as we spoke of forever, long kisses goodnight at the door for our hearts knew this was the beginning of.... as we learned to be one our souls cried- our insecurity's, the walls, our broken promises, and our pains wanted us to just walk away, we said bye-hello never-and always and as true love for our son came troubles mounted we thought, wondered, but would never say... he wasn't the reason why he was the big picture we could be as poor as under aged, unprepared parents but we now had purpose, as we built our foundation for this house of love and as troubles passed the walls of our daughter came and made us nerves, but like so many other challenges before us...we danced, now years later I can still see it all in you with just a glance, sure time's test changed who we were- no longer are we who we fell head over heels for no longer young and ripe and bursting with energy we are experienced and time tested you can see it face see it in our grays hear it in our voice and in our eyes you see... time has taken it's toll, and as our kids have now grown and set to leave us behind I can't help but to smile, you see I miss the long kisses good night at the door I miss holding your hand and talking for hours while... just like way back when I'm still falling in love with you, it's not about the time we leave behind it's about the rest of our lives, alone with you is all I want to be from a kiss filled with passion to just holding you in my arms and looking in your eyes. time has changed us in so many ways but it hasn't changed how blessed I fill to have you by my side, how love came to me in the shape of you, I never see the what was or the what ifs all I see is my friend,my lover, and my beautiful bride. we can't change what father time has done nor would I want to I like growing old with you every hour every moment every day, I told you, promised you, and I wrote to you in letters and poems and after all these years it's still forever and always.
