Expressing Feelings as a Poet

by Francisco Lopez

Not everyone has the sensitivity to write poetry but there is a lot of hidden talent that, out of shyness or a sense of ridicule, refuses to express their feelings. The writer undresses before the reader and logically can feel modesty by what he exhibits. Writing poetry requires always keeping an open mind. Ideas usually appear at any time and you have to let them grow. More than in notebooks, I would house these ideas or thoughts in my mind and let them manifest freely and grow.

What you write may or may not like, but above all, there is the writer, his self-assurance along with his personality define his unmistakable style. As a writer or poet, you cannot be liked by everyone, but if you are satisfied with yourself and your work, inspiration will never leave you.
