Why Me

They’re asking me to pray again
What is it with you people? I sin
The words I say may not work
I would’nt stand a chance of going berserk
What happened to the days
They asked someone else
And prayer like poetry
Taken from the shelf
Faithful to God I call myself
But I require my sins to be something else
I can’t speak in tongues
I don’t have the fire
If I ever made that claim
I would be a liar
I wouldn’t lay hands on anything
Nothing more than doubts is what I’d bring
Yet God is God I know for myself
I acknowledge His presence
Just for my health
Sometimes at home
I kneal down and pray
To say the least not everyday
I’m one of the old ones now
So let us pray

But in the silence, I know He’s there, Listening close, in my whispered prayer. I acknowledge His presence, just for my health, Searching for comfort, in being myself.

I feel we all fall short when it comes to praying. We know God is there and we know he knows us and will always be there for us. Let us all pray for this world at the moment. love phyl

You are so very sincere, not claiming to be an an ardent devotee of God. But you acknowledge His presence and pray to Him, though not on regular basis, but when you are motivated. I am sure, God will never be cross with you.
