Whales are most fascinating creatures. Living in sea, it is a mammal and largest animal. I have written so many features about whale. Three lines composed by you expressed its special quality. Though largest, it eats mouthful of smallest fishes krill , draining out water. Have Good Days.

Whales are dangerous creatures. We have to keep guard against them while being in a boat. Beautifully penned new form of haiku. Have a great week ahead, dear Oliver

Thanks Janice. Canada and USA have strict distance rules. My wife and I were on the Bay of Fundy last month on a whale watching trip

Oliver, I think a distance is a good thing. That would be a wonderful adventure to be up close and see those magnificent fish. Thanks for sharing this one with us. I appreciate the honor of placing in your contest and you dropping by personally to say congratulations. Sara K

You are quite welcome Sara. It was hard to judge. All of the poems were good. My wife and I were on a whale watching trip in early July on the Bay of Funday in Canada and saw Minke.

That is the best kind of ku. My husbnd and I went whale watching in Alaska. We had a close encounter with the first whale. The Captain had to throw the ship quickly into reverse or the humpback would likely have flipped our boat. My husband asked how often that happens and Captain said “first time.”

Thanks Kim. Based on a whale watching trip my wife and I took three weeks ago in New Brunswick Canada.
