the two of us being broken and damaged
we've picked up the pieces
dusted ourselves off
stood up and decided
to put up a good front
with what's left of our courage
somewhat recovered from the hurt
we're still fragile
yet parade our determination
not giving up
hand in hand
envisioning a future
where love is soothing
and togetherness the way forward
