Spice

He woke with hope and love for the new day

And darkness met him and betrayed

The hope vanished but brought cleansing

And like the soldier onto knee bending

If You are there help me like a bottle of wine

A slight burn and You grow and deny

It was only one time and her heart lies

Spelled it out and written by

He was there between each adjective

That holy love linked each conjunctive

If You came with your advice

Her love cost more and price

In front of the screen he touched the keys

Writing the note with hope relieves

But she has deleted his record and moved over

In a seedy hotel they meet and my love choked her

You told me once You told me twice

My love was cooked with bitter spice

You have been writing so much lately! Your heart is pouring itself out like water..gosh, that's got to be one refreshing write! Don't stop! We will continue to read more....Once a writer told me to write until the well runs dry, then write some more at the first drop of inspiration. Write about anything...a bug on the wall, the way someone holds his coffee cup,...just write. Have a wonderful Sunday!! Gwendolen
