Shining Through
It is done through me so don't
struggle against what
you can clearly see
Through & through I am
consumed by the artistry of
my words & what I say is food for
the soul
I'm told I paint pictures so
vividly
that the imagery jumps off
the canvas & comes
to life
So lucid are they that some
try to muddy
the waters out of spite
knowing they're on the wrong
side of right
I brush it off & continue to
rise like the sun
after a long night of counting
my blessings
My essence will always shine
through despite
the nature of clouds
as they just do what they're
made to do
I'm like an onslaught of rain
drenching the world
with my liquid nature
causing the seeds I plant
to grow
through & through
