Rudolph the Red Rose Reindeer

Rudolph Reindeer with a red nose
Had a drinking problem they say
That is why his nose was so red
But it came to a head one day

Because of all his hard drinking
Rudolph lost his license to fly
With nothing left for him to do
He threw up his hooves and yelled, "Whyyy!"

Rudolph had an intervention
He quit but his nose was not bright
So Santa had to use FedEx
Since toys must be there over night!

He wore roses in his antlers
To bring everyone good cheer
Selling rides for a buck an elf
He soon was reindeer of the year!

Now it was the elves that loved him,
As they shouted out with much fun,
"Rudolph the red rose reindeer,"
"You're still a historical one!"

My brother reminds me of Rudolph - when he drinks, his nose glows red! Thanks for this fun ride (I guess I owe you a buck!)

That was fun. Nicely crafted Pat, a great story re-adaptation. : ) I actually wrote a drunken Rudolph limerick for a contest on here but decided against it. So, maybe it's true. : )
