Parenting a dope

My sorrow has reached its pinnacle
My opinion described as cynical
Flowing from deepest regret
All the way to try to forget
Why this condition came to be
I find a complete mystery to me
The conclusion of an attempt to right
The loss of the inevitable fight
From where this misfortune came
The darkest of forces has it’s reign
And death would have been a better fate
There was no hope, nothing too late
Only the wait for what would surely come
The agony of it’s suffering soon begun
The shaking insomnia the horror and pain
The loss of trust in a once good name
Where are the lost that once belonged
Where are the loved left alone
Why are the bonds of nature broken
And the claims of love no longer spoken
No longer a place to stay
The freedom stolen to find a way
All that is left a reason to pray
Pray to God to find a way
When nothing is left and gone is the "Stay."

The way I interpret this one, I can really relate to it. I had two kids and the boy was a handful. He is nicer today but struggles with his own family. Karma really got him with his own son. I watch lots of shows on ID channel about kids that seem bad from the start with no fault to the parents. Another of life's mysteries.

I am not sure exactly what dope means here. Does it mean the child has mental problems related to not thinking or does it mean that they are strung out on illegal substances? I feel for you. I don't know how old this child is but there is hope for a brighter future. Finding the right resources helps be it an absent-minded professor type of child or if it is problem with illegal drugs or alcohol. I enjoyed reading this creative one today and thank you for dropping by my page. Sara K
