Mercy
We fall from grace like stars from the sky
Burning bright, fast and furious
Disappearing without a trace
a life creeps in like a thief in the night
The time dissolves into shadows
the ghosts of change
Dancing to a mad beat
on a relentless drum
Forever attuned to a higher purpose
I can't remember where the days
begin and end
The mutation of ideals and thoughts
Vagrant plantings in urban plots
somewhere on a dirty street corner
I imploded
Mercy saved me
from another bout
with the darkest days ahead.....
