 what's love
               gotta do with lust?
            not a doggone thing.
                one must never
                confuse the two.

             love's sterile needle
             punctures our flesh
                 and penetrates
                      bone deep
            into the heart and soul,

                          unlike
               lust's blunt rusty tip
      which only pokes at the skin,
                     superficially
          lust is pure exploitation;

      simply a selfish sexual desire
                     the pathway
            that winds itself to love
         requires patient navigation,
        there's no rushing through it...

  like "wham-bam, thank you, ma'am!"
                   the difference
                 between the two
                is as clear as day.
             love is about sharing;

        always choose it, reject lust.
