Light

I wish to never tire of sun
If the thrill of rays
Begins to fade
The dark has surly won

When gleaming shapes adorn my floor
By way of early morning pour
Through the windows, cracks and doors
Don’t quite excite me, like before

That’s the day I’ll know it’s true
All evolves. Good things subdue. Without the light, how could I see
Within the glow, lives all that’s me

Unruly Sparks that light the sky
Chunks of light that swirl and fly
The crackling sound, my lullaby
Without the light my soul will die

I could stand a bit of sunshine over this way after what seems like 2 weeks of rain. Wonderful to see you penning again. Anna:) Very nicely written, young lady:)
