I Think I Will Sit For Awhile

I think I’ll sit for awhile
here by this aqua blue sea
hang up my chores and to do list
lease my mind to the breeze

Feel the waves roll across my skin
smooth my weary wrinkles
like left-behind footprints in the sand
to be a rock tumbled in the surf

Where my dreams are given their birth
worn fantasies cling to tangible flesh
diamonds that sparkle on the salty water
I think I’ll wear one home

I think being amidst nature is most conducive to being inspired to write poetry. This is lovely Jeanne. Blessings xxoo

This is such a fun, carefree write. Sitting by the sea lends itself to all sorts of thoughts. I hope you're still wearing that diamond, Jeanne.
