How To Write Poetry

If you write to please others
Then you write without heart
Then your pleasures are for another
Sound travels though time
Shakespeare did not write
For our ears to hear
His words traveled through time
His poetry came within his heart
None can copy or write the same
Poetry lays within you
It’s the Spirit that guides you
Some you read with pleasure
While another will bring a sour note
Each uniquely created by one
A Rhyme may jingle in your ear
While it may sound like a drum
to another.
Place not the heart for others to hear
But place it within your Soul
