Hard Enough

Did you ask God hard enough
for that you want to receive
And do you have faith enough
to patiently believe
Is your heart for righteousness
for what God would say true
Have you come to the door
that will not let you through
Have your own emotions
lost their peace of mind
And though not seen by others
tearing you up inside
Have you asked God hard enough
to fix that broken pride
Forgiven all trespasses setting sins aside
Have you avoided troubling
with silence or cunning demise
Given others help with your voice
or a way to compromise
Have you asked God hard enough
for forces not seen by eyes
His Kingdom, His Power and His Glory
and wait for His surprise

I think it's difficult to pray in real earnest. I have only done it a few times in my life, and I need to do it more. Good one, John
