Gray

Under dull gray sky
I took the night train
Never quite dreaming
To cross these straits

I walk the cemetery
Under the moon unblessed
As I enter the gates
Trees huddle and moan

So many unfulfilled dreams
Are here under tombstones
Countless echoes of 'could have'
So many 'should haves'

Today breathing seems harder
Here in the cemetery
Almost selfish somehow
As I seek the living among the dead

Today is colored gray
I am a corpse bored
With my own funeral
Living like a gypsy with less gold

And more curses....
