Fixable

Some things are fixable; Others are not. If it’s the first, Give it all that you’ve got. If it’s the latter, It’s better to ditch it. Purchase a new one And then you can switch it. Certain relationships Might be the same. Some can’t be fixed Even if you are game. There’s only so much, When things break, you can do. Then it’s time to give up And move on to the new.

I agree completely with your words Ilene….one can only try and if it doesn't work its time to move on…..love the analogy between the two! Great poem as per usual ilene!! Debx

Things, I can fix. My sister, since we were kids, has called me Mr Fix it. Relationships? I guess I’ve been lucky there. But, if the question arises, ‘is she, he, it, worth the effort?’ You already have your answer. Inspired write, Ilene. Terry

As if you timed this to speak to my precise situation, Ilene... I am in the throes of deciding whether to rescue a relationship with a long-lost relative. Thanks for the perspective, Gershon

So true. Hopefully the relationships are repairable. Your poem is very well expressed Ilene.

Good advice, Ilene. I often follow it when discarding certain clothes or kitchen utensils that have seen their day.I dislike clutter. / Maurice
