We have a new diet created each day
With many saying you need to hear what I say
If we could cut out these foods 
It might put all in better moods
A diet to conform to your body type
Why not jump on this train of hype
Are we more focused on the outside
Then what's being drawn in by the tide
We learn of foods that are good and bad
Without one are the other makes one sad
Get rid of the toxins unto fasting
To help the body evermore lasting
Many know in this poem for fun
I care more about how you look under the sun
How do we see and recognize foods that harm
And seek fresh food off the farm
But ,yet do not see what is out to destroy the soul
For the truth is in the scroll
Learning to fast from this world of destruction
While the inside is under construction
In quietness and standing still
With unblemished water to fill
Unto, God is given all glory
For , this is truth placed within not a story
To recognize the evil around us
That keeps many  in division and fuss
We have been given access to defeat
With a new light unto thy feet
That in a world of chaos and sin
A newfound peace love and joy is there to win

"Get rid of the toxins unto fasting To help the body evermore lasting" ! Fasting helps us to get rid of toxins ! It also helps us build from inside ! I have enjoyed your poem, Stephan with a pinch of humour !

Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:13?-?14 NIV Amen, valsa , you would know there is . meaning in more than what we put in the body but what comes out that shows which fruit within is produced: )

An enjoyable interesting read Stephan. If we live on the bread of heaven till we want no more, we’re sure to arrive one day at God’s door. As for the diets created every day, be like me and turn away… Belle

Yes, I used to belong to a church in which fasting is practiced every first Sunday of the month and of course, in times of trial. I never liked it, but actually it should be done a lot to keep up good health. I suppose I just love food too much, but it's not difficult for me actually to go a day without eating. Nice one.

Its not or will to be good in own works, but through the promised spirit to manifest within that we fast from old ways that kept us from knowing God that His promised spirit might reign within, we need the bread that came from heaven with the living water to feast upon : ). Stephan, there is so much depth in this poem. It is like a diet of fresh foods that nourish us from the inside out and reminds us to rid our "soul diet" of sugar, fats, engineered foods and preservatives! Well done!
