Fame - Overated

Fame is overrated
More important  is the 
love of family and friends
One should never kill oneself 
going after money 
One should never kill oneself 
going after fame 
I boast about my poetic acheivements 
yet I probably won't win the Nobel Prize 
It would be nice 
It also might be nice 
to walk on the moon 
Doubt these things will happen 
But wait a minute - maybe these two things 
will happen 
HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL

Matt: When you get to the moon, stand the Apollo 11 flag up. They said the other night, it blew over when they took off. It's a shame if we spent billions and the flag is laying in the dust. As for getting a Nobel, that's probably a long shot. Keep writing and sharing with all of us on the soup. oldbuck

Matthew, I like something to pop up unexpectedly in a poem. In this one it was this part to me. "It also might be nice to walk on the moon " Enjoyed it much.
