FAITH IN GOD WHO INSTILLS IN US DIVINE FEAR
God instills in us divine fear toward heavenly honour
Always protecting us from transgressions bringing horrible terror…
Such preserves our faith in His holiness-fervour
For our guidance with His secured succour.
God instills in us divine fear toward good victory
Always keeping us within His will of triumphant territory…
Such guards our faith from sinfulness-misery
For our testimony that exalts His glory.
God instills in us divine fear toward diligent stewardship
Always encouraging us to follow His authority and leadership…
Such drives our faith along jubilant discipleship
For our fellowship within His partnership.
God instills in us divine fear toward profitable correction
Always pardoning us of our confessed sins along His sanctification…
Such disciplines our faith along His instruction
For our reproof that rules us by His direction.
God instills in us divine fear toward delightful gladness
Always comforting us from woes of failures’ gloominess…
Such cheers our faith to pursue after His joyfulness
For our delight in seeking Him first and His righteousness.
God instills in us divine fear toward virtuous desire
Always warming us midst worshipful praise along His revival fire…
Such propels our faith against slothfulness-mire
For our fruitfulness in serving Him until we retire.
God instills in us divine fear toward commendable approval
Always sustaining us with His grace yon our survival…
Such strengthens our faith during weariness’ interval
For our excitement in waiting His arrival.
