Whispers In The Woods


She heard whispers in the dark of night

Deep within the woods

Voices of the dead , she thought

Or satanic beings who roam in cloaked hoods


Standing frozen with fear , breath rapid and low

She convinced herself it was only the rustling of the trees 

As she walked deeper into the darkness

A cloaked hooded figure stood watching with no intention to appease

All very dark, Deb. Having said that...many a person would contend, that there is more than just recognised animals living deep within the woods. I personally would not disagree with any of that. :) john
