Notes About The Poem

A psychiatrist might diagnose DT as psychotic, narcissistic, amoral, selfish, mysoginistic, sadistic, vindictive, and generally evil. That he has these characteristics seems obvious to many of us. At this point, I will stop writing about him (after today) as I would rather spend time protesting at live demonstrations. Here, I plan to focus on inner joy and happiness. After all, what more can be said about this monster.

we can't wait for superman

Trump drools to be in charge and boast
That he's the god host we should toast
Yet Don’s now upset
Since the odds on bet
Ranks him behind great Caesar’s ghost

Jan, I likely will. His pope comment is just a ruse to grab more media attention and exclude all opposition. He’s just a clever extortionist who will use his position to extract fees for those that need something from him. He’s just an orange monster.

Obvious to many. But still he is doing more than Biden ever did. I guess the future remains to be seen. Thanks for reading and commenting to do many of my poems and I look forward to limericks that don't feel on Trump.

Andrea, yes he's doing a lot. For example, using his position to extort money for favors including favorable tariff treatment or a favorable business deal (lease of contract) with the federal government. He's managed to set up a funding scheme through meme coins, where anyone can send him a bribe. That is what I call doing more than Biden ever did sorry to say. We're talking thousands of times more money than Hunter ever collected from Ukraine.

Nette, we just saw today that he did not. In fact, revulsion to his boorishness and bullying led to a completely and (until recently) unexpected positive result for the Liberal Party in Canada. Hopefully, this is only the beginning of bad news for the evil one (DT). Hope you are well!!

IE, thanks for all the good thoughts. We do need to verify the things the politicians say and hold them to it. Fortunately, DT's popularity seems to be on the decline. That will start to make it more difficult for him to act like he owns everyone and everything. Turns out he has Maria Antoinette syndrome, but rather than saying to those without, "Let them eat cake" he seems to be saying "Let them starve."

Anaya, I'm sure I'll be back criticizing the monster. I'm just tired of seeing him suck up all the life force around us and need to take a break from that. There's a lot of good things in life, but I also need to spend some time protesting outside of here. There was an interesting sign at a protest rally showing DT's face on the orage part of a candy corn. It said, "Leading cause of truth decay!"

Duke, you wrote a great limerick poem criticizing a public figure, possibly Donald Trump, as terribly flawed and bad. You want to move on from this criticism and pursue pleasure and joy. In addition to criticizing the figure's attitude and conduct, you discuss your devotion to personal well-being and activism. I particularly enjoy how the poem uses strong, emotionally charged terms like "psychotic," "narcissistic," "amoral," and "evil" to show scorn for the topic. The last couplet's whimsical phrasing, especially "god host" and "great Caesar’s ghost," offers sarcasm and wit.

SP, thanks for reading. I could have made the list of undesirable qualities much longer, He's also a compulsive liar, reckless, and self-destructive. I suppose I'll come back to it at some point in the future. However, I'm thinking I need to discuss some other things too totally unrelated to the idiot. Obsession (and DT has that too) is not really a good thing in a balanced life. LOL and smiles!

Thanks Robert, I see perhaps you remember 1950s TV as well. It was amazing how good vs evil was so evident and clear at that time as reflected by that show. I am also with you...we should not take the current transformation of our government lying down unless it's part of a protest. Take care from the opposite coast!!

I'd rather he was toast than having any kind of toast made in his behalf. Ah, was that Mr. White's phrase of exasperation? I think I'll follow your precedent, Duke. What's being done is too serious. Congress men and women need to wear a red cape.

Lin, yes Perry White used that expression in the 1950s. I’ve decided to use it myself from now on. I’m done with this despot for now…onto something pleasant. Most people here pretty much know the truth. There are some wonderful things to share that relate to feeling good…something DT will never comprehend.
