Notes About The Poem

Brian's Name Contest   ~  September 9, 2025

TIME

Ticking too swiftly, the hands of a clock
Imitating the rhythmic beat of my heart
Minutes and hours I will never get back
Endlessly, time rushes by, day after day

Congratulation on your wonderful "TIME" write win. Your few words with so much said. How can something we can Not see, feel or touch impact our lives so much??? Great Picture... Have a blessed day/weekend writing way............

Lin, you have this so right. We get none of it back. The question is whether to rue the past or learn from it and make the best of what we have left. It can take time to figure that out too. Smiles, of course. Wait...what's that ticking I hear...hope it's not a bomb!!!

It serves no purpose to regret anything in the past. Learn from it, we must. LOL at your wit, Duke. thanks...

I think we are all amazed at how fast time is, yet how slow it can appear

Dear Lin, what moves me most is that line "Minutes and hours I will never get back." There's such honesty in that acknowledgment. You inked what so many of us feel but struggle to express with that bittersweet awareness of time's irreversible flow and how precious each moment really is. We need not waste, but let us go forth and taste for time will not last. Blessings, Lin, Daniel

Many thanks for the depth of your understanding of the part time plays in our lives... often untimely but we're powerless to control it.
