Notes About The Poem

The Dance

We could have danced all night, around the calm pond where cold dark waves seem to send electric notes that echoed all around in the garden with melodies soft that sent throbs in our lonely hearts as we twirled and twirled, thinking of our love. From high above, luminous stars twinkled, on delicate, sensuous flowers, exuding faintly the sweet scent, urging us to speed our dance, to the tune of soft breeze, much to our delight as we cling more, two lips meet, it is Bliss. Dearest Victor, what a beautifully romantic and lyrical poem I could feel the movement, the softness of the breeze, and the magic of that moonlit dance. The imagery is so vivid—from the rippling pond to the sweet-scented flowers—it truly feels like a moment suspended in time....Hugs
