Notes About The Poem

Welcome to the eleventh and last entry in this series of limericks. Time is not the only thing that flies. On September 3, the administration arranged a military flyover during the visit of President Karol Nawrocki of Poland, in honor of a Polish army pilot killed in a training exercise. The flyover occurred just at the time more than 100 of the women who survived sexual grooming, assault, and rape with Epstein and his associate, conviceted sex trafficer Ghislaine Maxell, spoke at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol, drowning out their words. This limerick is about them and their victimization. I apologize for the final word choice, but rhymes sometimes leave us little alternative.

Very true, however, show me any American leader who stopped any war ( NONE ) they all support them, Obama once famously said here is the line in the sand, Assad laughed, and as usual civilians paid the price. Canada and USA are jokes with no values at all, you are the minority.

Arthur, are you saying we have a problem with using weapons rather than diplomacy? LOL!!!! It's really incredible when we think of the trillions of dollars spent on protecting access to resources, when we could have helped make Earth a paradise through investment in peace and research. Some people have made a lot of money this way. We always say, follow the money. The NYT did a recent article on Epstein and JP Morgan. It's a different take on the same idea. Look at the leader we have dropping bombs on boats in international waters....peace president my ass. Smiles!

Dear Duke you are amazing as usual and especially in the last but not least of your 11 lims in this series. We were wondering if the flyovers were a set up by trump as we watched CNN. Thanks for confirming it-- just another one of his guilty and sadistic actions!

Hi Anaya, no limit appears to stop the maniac. He will do whatever he thinks promotes himself in the news cycle and focuses attention upon him. There's nothing that can happen to him that will ever change his sickness. I would be surprised if anything changes before the 2026 November election. His cadre of close supporters know this, and they are trying to figure our how to skew the results. Smiles!!

It would've been a shame for it to have been censored. He's arrogantly bragged about his prowess with women, the number of wars he's ended... oh heck... what hasn't he bragged about that isn't true except in his warped mind? 11 Limericks and there will be so much more to be written if anyone even cares anymore. Maybe when he's gone, as in out of office or whatever. Thanks for the 11, Duke.

Lin, I think we understand just how warped and psychotic he is. Hard to understand that while his sick character appears clearly to us he still has a significant loyal following who have been completely manipulated into thinking he can do no wrong. This following includes members of his own party in Congress who are afraid to say anything. Where is the criticism from them?

The final word choice is apt for your subject, that is after all how your subject unabashedly considers girls and women. Write and wit on dear poet. xomo

Thanks Maureen. I feel very sorry for the girls and women who got caught up in this operation. However, you are absolutely right. I think it's ok to have a bit of remorse about covering unpleasant topics, but I never let it stop me from exposing things I think need attention. You're very kind indeed! Smiles!!
